Acceptable Use and Anti-Spam Policy
Effective date: 1 October 2026
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone using Survey Blaster, including team members, translators and client guests. Respondents trust surveys with their answers, and this policy protects that trust.
1. Prohibited uses
You must not use Survey Blaster to:
- Deceive respondents: impersonate another person, brand or organisation, or disguise a survey's purpose.
- Phish or steal data: ask for passwords, sign-in codes, full payment-card numbers or security codes, bank credentials or government ID numbers.
- Send people to harmful sites: use redirect endings, links, images or video addresses that lead to phishing, malware or deceptive pages.
- Break the law: collect or share illegal content, infringe intellectual property, or violate privacy, consumer, discrimination or export laws.
- Harm people: harass, threaten or exploit anyone, including any content that sexualises or endangers children.
- Spread hate or extremism: promote violence or hatred against people based on protected characteristics.
- Abuse the platform: probe or test our security, overload or scrape the Service, get around plan limits, or resell access without our permission.
- Misuse shared access: give client guests or translators access to data they shouldn't see, or share sign-in details.
2. Sensitive and restricted data
- Collect health, religion, ethnicity, political, sexual-life, biometric, genetic or criminal-record data only where you have a lawful basis and any required explicit consent. Turn on field encryption for those questions.
- Survey children only with verifiable parental or guardian consent and in line with child-protection laws.
3. Anti-spam rules for invitations
Every survey invitation sent through Survey Blaster, whether from your own mail server or our sender, must follow these rules:
- Permission. Send only to people who have given you permission to contact them, or whom you may lawfully contact (for example existing customers where the law allows).
- No bought lists. Never use purchased, rented, shared or harvested email lists.
- A survey in every email. Every invitation must contain a survey link. Don't use Survey Blaster for newsletters or advertising.
- Honest messages. Use an accurate sender name, subject line and a reply-to address that reaches a real person.
- Identify yourself. Include your organisation's name and postal address.
- Unsubscribes. Don't remove or hide the unsubscribe link. Honour unsubscribe requests you receive directly within 10 days.
- Healthy lists. Remove addresses that bounce or complain. We may pause sending if bounce or complaint rates exceed 10% bounces or 5% complaints.
These rules sit alongside the laws that apply to you, such as the US CAN-SPAM Act and the UK and EU e-privacy rules.
4. Enforcement
If we believe this policy has been broken, we may remove content, pause invitations, close surveys, suspend accounts or end them. Where possible, we will contact you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. For phishing, malware, illegal content or serious risk to respondents, we will act immediately. We may report illegal activity to the authorities.
5. Reporting abuse
If you received a suspicious survey or invitation, report it to [email protected] or use the "Report this survey" link shown on every survey. Please include the survey link or invitation email. We review reports within 2 business days.
